Current/Active DVDs means these DVDs are still in stock from the manufacturer.   If you are not a collector, shop in this section or the Reprinted Section because these DVDs do not have an elevated price based on scarcity like in the Discontinued Section.   If you just want some Factory Sealed DVDs to watch and enjoy then you should buy from the Active section, all the DVDs are the same as you would see in a store.  Original, Factory Printed Cover and DVD, shrink wrapped in a standard DVD case.   We separate the active DVDs from the Discontinued DVDs because someone who isn't a collector may purchase a $20 thinking that the quality is very good and its an older DVD that is just hard to find.
