Defective DVD Policy
Defective DVD Policy
DVD claims from regular customers are low and are actually declining. They are so rare. The numbers we have are about 1 in 10,000 DVDs sold generates an email about a problem with a DVD.
Low volume customers generate defect claims at a rate of about 1 per 150 DVDs.
First time customers generate refund claims of about 1 in 10.
If the products were defects we would be seeing it across the board. We are not. We have to create these new policies to stop the fraud of fake defect claims. The word is out that if you just complain, you can get a free DVD. We can't do it any longer.
- A Reprinted DVD. If you feel like you have a defective reprinted DVD. That is a DVD with a silver or blank white face. It will say reprinted in the title. If there are slight glitches in video or audio. There are not grounds for a replacement. You can watch 2-10 hours of a DVD and always find some flaw to base a refund claim. These are coupon codes, not defects. Some customers have this idea, if I try another one it will be better. We aren't doing that. Its a DVD. its cheap. Its just part of buying old DVDs. A. If the wrong video is on the DVD. let us know right away. B. If the DVD does not play at all. let us know right away. If you have an issue with a reprinted DVD FILE A CLAIM If you claim is approved. We will supply the process to get a replacement. The process will be explained. Each customer cannot design their own process.
Many reprinted DVDs take a long time to load please wait up to 2 minutes to see if the DVD will load up. If your DVD plays on one player and not another, that is not the DVD, that is the player. If your reply is that the DVD player plays other DVDs not this one, that is still your player. That is not a reason for a claim.
you should be using a cleaning system on your player every 30 days. Nobody does it because its easier to say DVDs don't work. We get it, we would do the same thing. The only thing is that we can't do it any longer.
