Defective DVD Policies

These are our policies.  We don't discuss them or debate them.  We cannot have different policies for different customers.   Every business has different pricing that comes with different services.   We are making everything clear so there is no confusion.

99% of all defective DVD claims are the result of a dirty lens on your DVD player.  It will play some DVDs and not others.   Cleaners are $10 on Amazon.  The directions on your player say to clean it once a month.  You have owned it for 20 years and never cleaned it.

These are the policies for every single customer, I can't do favors any longer.

  1. DVDs in Cases under $20.   If there is any problem with the DVD in terms of functionality, you can return it and we can include a tested replacement of that DVD with your next order.  You have to pay the return postage.  My advice ,if you are a regular customer, is wait until you have 4 DVDs and send them media mail.  Its less than 1lb and it costs less than $5.00.   You have to get a return authorization number from us.  Don't just mail us something without an RA#.
  2. DVDs over $20 that are sealed  DVDs over $20 are considered collectibles.   We have had several new customers that ordered a $100 DVD and then claimed it was not the right DVD inside.   Were they telling the truth? NO.   Here is the solution to that.  If you want:  on a $20 and over DVD.  We will open it carefully, we will check the DVD inside.  We will test it.   Then we will put it through a factory wrap machine.   We will put it in a clear bag with a tamperproof sealed and certification sticker that states that we guarantee that the DVD is correct and performs properly.  Now you can keep this in your collection with confidence that you have what you think you have.   Imagine opening your rare treasure 20 years from now and its a junk DVD inside.   Here is something to consider.  We put on name on that seal.  Dishonest people don't put their name on things.
  3. Reprinted DVDs.   On Reprinted DVDs.   Contact us right away and let us know.  This allows us to check our inventory to make sure they are not all defective.   Then we will put a note on your account and on your next order, leave us a note in the notes section of your invoice (on the cart page) that says you need a copy of "This title."

If we make a mistake on an order, we will take care of it.

These policies are a result of our price changes.   We have reduced prices to the lowest possible numbers.   If you buy 100 DVDs from us that were $10 over the course of a year, those DVDs are now$7.99.  That is a $200 Savings.   We cannot offer services like paying for return postage.   Amazon doesn't pay for return postage.   They make you drive it to Staples.   If you go to Walmart and you get a defective DVD,  You have to drive to the store.  I know it seems unfair, but our new pricing will save you so much money, you won't care about mailing back 4 DVDs once a year.   If you can't see the benefit, then we just aren't doing a good job of explaining it.

If you want the old prices and also services like Free shipping over $100 and free returns/exchanges, we can set your account up with our old pricing.

You as a customer have a choice, but we are offering Economy Class Prices on our DVDs, and we can't provide 5 star meals and champagne with it.
