Think of papertowels. What if each roll came in a hard plastic case and the cost of your papertowels were $5.00 a roll, but there was a 12 pack that had no cases for $3. Its an easy decision.
If you even care about the envirnment one tiny bit you can't buy cases. The case is made of oil. That case has been shipped 7 times before it reaches you. I would estimate that 1 gallon of oil has been used or burned to make 10 DVD cases. If you claim to care about the environment and you are buying DVDs in cases, you are really going against your own beliefs. I hate DVD cases. I despise them. I don't make the rules, you do. I started this business with no cases. We bought 100 DVDs on a stack. No cases. We shipped them in white sleeves. If I wanted to grow I had to sell DVDs in cases. The cost of the case and the cost to ship the case has gone up, its not just an enviroment issue, its an economic issue. Its simply setting money on fire. It makes no sense to me. For collectors it does make sense. But if you just want to watch a movie you are just flushing money down the drain.
