Know Exactly What You Are Buying

Every DVD is described so customers understand exactly what the advertised price represents. The specific version, packaging, and condition matter. While we cannot provide individual photographs of every item, we provide detailed descriptions so customers can make informed purchases.

No DVD-Rs. No Exceptions.

DVD-R versions are not permitted, even when issued by the original studio. We believe it is unacceptable for a customer to spend $50 expecting a vintage manufactured DVD and receive a DVD-R instead.

Why We Do Not Sell Factory Sealed Vintage DVDs

There are no factory sealed DVDs in our Vintage Marketplace. Our analysis suggests that approximately 50% to 75% of vintage DVDs offered on another marketplace have been resealed. Every re-seller has a home machine that creates the "Folded" ends "Factory Wrap" that everyone puts so much trust into. This wrap provides no level of authenticity. It actually creates more questions than answers. We do NOT buy "Factory Sealed DVDs" they have no value to us when we are buying from other people. How can any seller buy a DVD from another seller and claim its factory sealed? They can't.

Folded wrapping does not establish authenticity. Nobody can reliably determine the history of a vintage DVD simply by examining its wrapping.

Sealed packaging can conceal the actual version and condition of the DVD. Opening a supposedly valuable sealed DVD years later only to discover a lesser-condition copy or a DVD-R is not our definition of added value.

Inspection Is More Valuable Than Wrapping

We remove the wrapping from our vintage DVDs so the contents can be properly evaluated. We believe an accurately described, inspected vintage DVD is worth more than an unidentified copy hidden behind plastic.
